Oil and Gas waste water includes small amounts of free or dissolved hydrocarbons and solids that must be removed before the water can be re-used, injected or discharged. Our KD’s Clarifier Oily Water Separator is designed to remove both suspended solids and free, non-emulsified HC from the oily waste stream. In some applications the removal of solids inside the wastewater is large and ay create fouling issues. The removal of solids is very important to protect downstream coalescing media. If the water is to be discharged, most authorities restrict the amount of (TSS) and (THC). The design of the Clarifier Oily Water Separator is unique and one of a kind. The design starts with the inlet chamber that reduces the total suspended solids from the main flow, followed by our coalescing plate packs, where coalescence takes place. That’s where small oil droplets collide and form bigger droplets and herewith the oil is being removed. An integrated oil retention weir will keep the (THC) inside the separation compartment. Optional all kinds of auxiliaries can be added.
